5.31.14. – Mambo #5

Took Jackson to his first party this afternoon. (Happy 1st birthday to Jax’ homeboy Cameron!). Hate to say it but Jax stole the show. Kid took cute to a whole ‘nother level today. I mean literally was dressed out of his mind… Suspenders and bow tie? Baby Jordan’s? Come on Now… Jackson had his first taste of Fragola swag. He was pulling girls in his sleep at this event.

No really literally in his sleep… Slept almost the entire time (4 hours, I’ll regret that tonight at 3AM.)

Either way the chicks were all over him. Just throwing words like cute, adorable, handsome and amazing around like they were every day adjectives. Gotta say kid just has “IT”.

So I was thinking, Kiddie parties for toddlers must be like going to the club on a Friday night for a college kid. There was so much lady love there for Jax. It was like a freaking Lou Bega song up in that bounce house…
A little bit of Monica in my life,
A little bit of Erica by my side.
A little bit of Rita’s all I need,
A little bit of Tina’s what I see.
A little bit of Sandra in the sun,
A little bit of Mary all night long.
A little bit of Jessica here I am.

5.30.14. – Table for Two… and a Half?

First time out to dinner since the two of us became the three of us (not including thre dogs of course). Literally put on a Broadway production trying to figure out how you are supposed to attach a car seat to the HighChair. After fighting a losing battle I just get you shoved btwn the regular chair and table.

As soon as we get ourselves situated you simultaneously spit up and poop yourself. Dinner is off to a good start.

Fast forward 3 minutes which is as fast as it’s taken any human to ingest fried mozzerlla, linguini with meatballs and scallop rizzotto and you have a relatively quiet ans peacefull evening out.

I’m not really sure the proper infant etiquette yet for social situations. I feel bad but at one point I shushed the table next to us for singing happy birthday too loud.

5.29.14. – Pacers

The excitement was electric, Watching Paul George answer The Heat’s big shots with dagger after dagger like buckets of his own almost resulted in one of us puking! (I won’t say who almost puked, but it wasn’t you, don’t worry.)

Yet you slept through most of it…which for now is fine, but I looking forward to being able to share these types of sports experiences with you!

For what it’s worth, I had to take to Twitter to share my silent celebrations that were taking place in the family room while you snoozed peacefully in anticipation of waking me up as soon as I lay down after the game! Regardless, great game tonight son! I’m glad I got to share it with you! GO PACERS!

5.28.14. – I’m Slowly Becoming My Dad

One day you’re walking around in a nice pair of Express jeans, a button down and some Jordan’s and the next your outside doing yard work in dress pants, a white V-neck T-shirt and a pair of sandals.

I guess I’m becoming a good italian dad. That’s just what we do. It’s in our DNA. Big Pete (Grandpa Soprano) would be so proud. Only difference is he’d be wearing penny loafers instead of sandals.

5.27.14. – 1 Month

1 month already. It’s so funny how the old adage, “Time flies when your having fun,” really does apply. To think I had anything to do with making this little person is still unbelievable to me. All joking aside I hope I’ve been a good dad so far Jackson. Mommy and daddy love you so much.

PS: “Time flies when you’re having fun” can be substituted above by “Time flies when you don’t ever sleep,” “Time flies when you’re changing diapers every 14 seconds,” and/or “Time flies when you realize you’re always the second coolest guy in the room now.”

5.26.14 – Guard Dog

Tonight we learned just how deep Buster’s loyalty lies. Ohh you know it’s just Auntie Tricia holding Baby Jax. “Ohh hell no, not in my house she ain’t.”

Whether it’s simply a protective instinct he feels for his little brother, or just a hope he might snag a little scrap of dirty diaper… It’s still cute as hell.
